Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain medical records in a healthcare facility
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of patient information
- Retrieve and deliver medical records as requested by healthcare providers
- Scan and upload paper documents into electronic health record systems
- Maintain filing systems and ensure records are properly stored and easily accessible
- Assist with coding and indexing medical records for billing and reimbursement purposes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure proper documentation and record management
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology, including knowledge of common medical conditions, procedures, and abbreviations
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and workflows
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software applications
