Pulsed Power Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:
As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems.
That knowledge is key when it comes to prototype development for Directed Energy systems and capabilities We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to research, analyze, down-select, fabricate, test, and integrate complex electronic and RF subsystems and components to advance our non-kinetic weapon portfolio for our DoD warfighters.

On our team, you’ll conduct scientific analysis and testing in a laboratory and field environment.
You’ll directly impact DoD by demonstrating unique or niche capabilities.
We’ll look to you to your electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff.

You Have: 10+ years of experience in pulsed power research, development, and test and evaluation of a wide variety of pulsed power systems 10+ years of experience with high voltage, high peak power spark gaps, high voltage power supplies, and fast transient diagnostics 5+ years of experience in laboratory or field-testing environments, including setting test goals, developing test methodologies, organizing and conducting tests, reducing test data, and analyzing results Experience with conducting both basic and applied research Experience with modeling and simulation programs related to pulsed power systems Experience with electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) Ability to work in high voltage environmentsAbility to work both independently and as part of a diverse, multi-disciplined team Ability to travel CONUS 3-4x annually Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science Nice If You Have: Experience in combat or weapon system development, design, and integration for the US Navy or other Armed Services Experience with conducting testing for weapon effectiveness Experience with conducting RDT&E activities for Directed Energy (DE) systems Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse, multi-disciplined team Master's degree in Engineering or Science Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $73,000.
