Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Colonial Internal Medicine Associates (CIMA) is a well-established and respected, independent practice that has served the Fredericksburg and Stafford areas for 20 years.
The practice is seeking a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our Internal Medicine and Behavioral Health teams in a fast-paced office setting.
CIMA has a dedicated, branded behavioral health division embedded within the practice that is comprised of a PsyD, LCSW, LPC, psychometrician, and health coach.
This opportunity is an outpatient position with no night, weekend or holiday hours and no call responsibilities.
Final compensation dependent upon experience.
This position will provide support to the medical and behavioral health providers in the practice by: * Demonstrating the ability to work independently and in collaboration with physicians and behavioral health providers to deliver comprehensive care to patients.
* Prescribing medications to patients.
* Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their effects.
* Monitoring and evaluating patient progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
*Requirements:* * A graduate with a master’s degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
* Hold a current Virginia state license as a Nurse Practitioner.
* Board certified PMHNP.
* Hold a current DEA certificate.
