ESM is hired by municipalities, tourism authorities, private developers, and parks and recreation departments to assume responsibility for the oversight of indoor and outdoor pools, fields, tournament destination facilities, and special events centers.
Located in Stafford Virginia, the Jeff Rouse Swim and Sports Center (JRSSC) is a state-of-the-art 76,000 square foot facility that houses a 50-meter competition pool with movable bulkhead and seating for over 800 spectators, a 25-yard recreation pool, a warm-water wellness pool, a group exercise studio, fitness floor, a full-size basketball court, and a full-service cafe to serve guests.
The Fredericksburg Field House is Central Virginia’s premier indoor artificial turf facility covering over 75,000 square feet.
Focusing on providing a venue for local programming, this facility specializes in leagues, classes, camps, and tournaments for youth and adults in soccer, basketball, flag football, field hockey, lacrosse, volleyball, dodgeball, cornhole, pickleball, and more.
Eastern Sports Management is currently accepting applications for District Property Manager for the Fredericksburg, Virginia area.
This position is based in Stafford, Virginia at the Jeff Rouse Swim & Sports Center; the Fredericksburg Field House is included in the Fredericksburg area.
The District Property Manager is responsible for maintaining the entire sports facility, all interior operations, exterior landscaping, and parking areas at the two (2) properties in the Fredericksburg Virginia District.
Other areas of responsibility include the physical building structures, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment, hazard systems, life safety equipment, electrical, kitchen and laundry, exercise equipment, and pool/splash park upkeep.
The District Property Manager also will direct the housekeeping staff at each property and ensure housekeeping standards are met and/or exceeded.
Day to day management will include delegating work assignments, monitoring and controlling parts and labor expenditure, administering outside engineering vendor contracts, and selecting, training, and developing employees.
This position will also be responsible for keeping all records up to date to comply with company, local, state, and federal guidelines and/or regulations.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* ● Oversee third-party contractors ● Hire, train, schedule housekeeping and facilities staff ● Schedule repairs and maintenance ● Develop and manage the facilities budget ● Monitor budgets including but not limited to variable facility costs (primarily utilities) and develop action plans as necessary to control expenditures ● Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations *REQUIREMENTS* ● 5 years experience in property management ● Bachelor degree in a related engineering/property management subject area is preferred ● Previous experience as a Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager required ● Trade experience of 3-5 years preferred ● Ability to travel between properties is required ● Valid driver’s license and transportation is required ● Proficiency using a windows and/or google platform ● Proficient in English with great spoken and written communication skills required ● Weekend and holiday availability (as necessary) is required ● Experience working with electrical, mechanical, life safety systems, preventative maintenance systems, etc.
