*Job Summary:*
The Network Manager role in Stafford County involves managing a team and overseeing network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and SAN systems.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, with 5-7 years of networking and system administration experience.
Strong knowledge in Microsoft Windows environments, Cisco, and network security is essential.
The role requires hands-on experience in managing staff, as well as handling backup systems, disaster recovery, and emergency preparedness.
Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) and Microsoft Windows Server certifications are preferred.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Manage and lead the network team.
* Oversee network infrastructure (LAN, WAN) and connectivity devices.
* Administer and maintain the county's servers and secure network environment.
* Handle disaster recovery planning and emergency preparedness.
* Collaborate with the cyber security team to maintain network security.
* Coordinate with state agencies and other jurisdictions for network connectivity.
* Implement network policies, procedures, and standards.
* Assist in strategic budget planning and equipment purchases.
* Support video production of county meetings.
*Required Skills and Experience:*
* 7 years in networking and system administration.
* 5 years of prior management experience.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments, Cisco, and network security.
* Proven experience with SANs, backup systems, and disaster recovery.
* Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
* Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
