This position is part time and works 24 hours/week at our Warsaw campus.

Reporting to the Coordinator of Learning Resources, the Library Specialist is customer-facing and provides reliable, timely, and excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and community members.
This position assists library patrons with technology applications on library and personal devices, and provides circulation and basic reference services.
This role assists the Coordinator of Learning Resources in the support of the Learning Resource Center mission by participating in projects, performing clerical duties, and organizing and documenting materials or information.
The Library Specialist is responsible for duties including but not limited to: library reception and circulation services; checking in/out materials using an integrated library system (Alma); assisting patrons with locating materials, intercampus and interlibrary loan services, and course reserves; maintaining an orderly collection and library space; emptying book drops and logging in periodicals daily; assisting students with the online student information system, course management software (Canvas), and email; assisting patrons with printing/copying; providing basic reference assistance, including instruction in the use of the catalog; and performing other tasks as assigned by the Coordinator of Learning Resources.
Professional development is important in this role and there is an expectation that the incumbent will continue to improve their knowledge, skills and abilities over time.
The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours to include some evenings and weekends.
This position may require travel to other campuses.
This is a part-time 24 hour per week position with no benefits.
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with a diverse population of students, parents, faculty, administrators, and community patrons.
Experience using a variety of computer applications and software required.
Ability and eagerness to learn new technologies associated with learning resources.
Ability to perform duties accurately with attention to detail, and in a timely manner.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to navigate an alpha-numeric shelving system.
Preferred Qualifications:
Library work experience preferred.
Familiarity with research databases and tools desired.
