Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Front Desk Clerk/Night Auditor to join our team.
As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive experience during their stay.
This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service
- Check-in and check-out guests efficiently, ensuring accuracy of information
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries with a polite and helpful attitude
- Assist guests with requests and provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions
- Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating as necessary
- Process payments, balance cash drawers, and maintain accurate records
- Perform night audit duties, including reconciling daily transactions and preparing reports
- Ensure the safety and security of guests by following established procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management is a plus
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using phone systems and computer software for reservations and guest services
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling guest information and financial transactions
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable
