Overview:
GovCIO is currently hiring for Configuration/Release Manager to support code management and release efforts alongside software/application development.
This position will be located in Quantico, VA and will be a hybrid position.
Responsibilities:
Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
May support the design of graphical user interfaces (GUI) to meet the specific needs of users.
Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
Ensures software builds/codes are held to standard.
Works alongside project management team to drive iterative product releases.
Participates in code reviews to represent reviewed work for adherence to standards and specifications.
Writes or revises program documentation, operations documentation and user guides in accordance with standards.
Training and supporting developers on processes for source control, through build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, and deployment.
Enabling successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production.
Documenting and coordinating with developers and leadership on releases.
Manage/Improve the CM tools and processes, perform builds, schedule, package/install releases, and document changes
Qualifications:
High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)
Clearance Required: Secret
IAT Level II Certification
Required Skills and Experience
Knowledge of source code control management systems and configuration management (i.
e.
, Git, Hudson, Subversion, Artifactory etc.
) and code branching/merging strategies
Experienced in code design and configuration standardization
Experienced in helpign to lead a group of software developers through software development lifecycling
Plan and excute software code release alongside project team/stakeholders
Preferred Skills and Experience
Agile Software Development and Management methods.
Familiarity with .
NET fronted applications
Familiarity with Orcale database elements

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Posted Salary Range: USD $160,000.
