Senior RHEL SW developer R0103177 Dahlgren, Virginia, United States Full time Add to favorites Favorited View favorites Amentum is seeking software engineering professionals with software development related education and/or experience to support software development, integration, and testing in support of Dahlgren, VA.
This position will be partially remote and partially on-site as tasking requires.
You will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts in support of our Centers of Excellence.

Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and interact directly with customers and engineering personnel.
Senior RHEL SW developer Responsibilities Include: Upgrade a Gun System’s operating system from Legacy RHEL 6.
10 (32 bit) to RHEL 8 or 9 (64 bit).
Periodic testing will take place using actual hardware in the on-site Naval lab.
Minimum Qualifications and experience: Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or other technical field or equivalent experience.
5- years of software development experience or related education and experience with C++ and RHEL 6.
10 or RHEL 8/9 Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
