The Merit School of Doc Stone - Stafford, VA The Merit School of Doc Stone is seeking an experienced Cook for our Stafford Area .
We are looking for a full time cook for the planning, preparation, and service of daily meals to all children in the center.
This duty includes food preparation, service and cleanup.

We provide engaging educational experiences for infants through school age children that meet their emotional, physical, social and intellectual needs.
*The qualified candidate will:* * Be committed to helping The Merit School continues to set the standard for high quality child care at every level.
* Confirming weekly menus.
* Ordering and overseeing food inventory.
* Monitoring of proper temperatures.
* Rotating, storing and preparing food while cooking two nutritious meals and two snacks per day, reviewing allergies, serving meals in a timely fashion in appropriate serving dishes with sufficient serving and tableware, cleaning and the sanitizing of equipment.
* Maintaining professional standards for food preparation, food service, and kitchen maintenance as prescribed by corporate policy, state health department guidelines and national accreditation standards.
* Have the ability to lift 50 pounds and perform other duties assigned.
*Job Qualifications:* * Minimum qualification of a high school diploma or equivalent.
* Food service sanitation certificate (preferred).
* Minimum age of 21 years (preferred).
* At least three (3) months experience in a food preparation setting.
* Must be capable of communicating effectively both orally and in writing as applicable to the job responsibilities.
This is a full-time hourly position.
