Sedulous is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Engineer II to support the Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager Intelligence Systems, Stafford, VA.
General Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise in research and development, acquisition and sustainment of innovative tactical intelligence collection, processing, and dissemination equipment.
Support engineering activities and programmatic milestones through the development and review of engineering documentation (System Engineering Plans, Test and Evaluation Master Plans, Interface Control Documents, System Specifications, etc.
) and requirements documentation, System Engineering Technical Review briefing materials, configuration management activities and program schedules.
Provide technical support, coordination, and recommendations to the Government Project Office using general systems engineering, system design, system development life cycle principles and/or requirements analysis.
Knowledge of detailed technical studies, conducting analysis of current and future requirements relating to design, all phases of testing and fielding, and mission effectiveness.
Support and participate in systems engineering technical reviews (systems requirements review, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness reviews, and system acceptance reviews) through documentation preparation, analysis of criteria, and preparation of briefing materials.
Performs system/subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, system/subsystem integration, and tests for a system/subsystem efficacy and conformity.
Interface with the Program Office to manage engineering tasks, provide subject matter expertise in acquisition engineering best practices, and analyze technical problems.
Develop courses of action and recommended solutions for presentation to leadership.
Support the Engineering Change Proposal process by reviewing proposals and associated documents in the package, advising the Program Office on their technical merit, and assisting with change management processes through the Change Review Board/Configuration Control Board.
Coordinate program meetings, maintain documentation in knowledge repositories, and provide ad-hoc administrative support, as required.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, support proposal efforts, and facilitate completion of engineering activities and transfer of information resulting in technical successes for the program.
Provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of complex system/subsystem functions and programs to enhance overall system capabilities.
Provide functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware and software operating systems for the organization's products.
May be responsible for training, tasking, and mentoring less experienced systems engineers/systems analysts.
Must be willing to support approximately 15% of travel throughout the year.
This position requires an active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
Mandatory Requirements: A minimum of seven (7) years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or a related field.
Experience with DoD 5000 processes and requirements.
The experience should show increasing responsibility in development or maintenance of software, system development, system design, and/or information networks.
Experience in at least four of the following: requirements definition, modular testing, formulating design methodologies, documentation origination, systems integration and testing to verify required performance, assessment of change proposals for technical merit, database design and development, and DoD Architecture Framework.
DoDD 8140/8570 compliant/certified (e.
g.
, current Security+ certification).
Preferred Experience: Knowledge of DoD/USMC garrison and tactical environments.
Knowledge of systems development lifecycle, network/systems design and implementation, virtualization and cloud technologies.
Extensive knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
DAU Engineering (or related field) Level I or higher certification is preferred.
Agile Scrum Master.
Prior military intelligence experience.
