Patriot Group International has a full-time, exempt employee opening for a Junior Accountant.
This position will be located either our in our Warrenton, VA or Herndon, VA offices.
This position reports to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
You will perform a variety of general accounting support tasks in an accounting department including but not limited to:
Update, reconcile, and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.
g.
, disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable).
Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
Maintains and sets up employee payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
Ensures timely processing of all staff payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles.
Qualifications:
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are a must.
Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to multi-task are a must
Must have a positive attitude.
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred, but not required.
Accounts payable and receivable experience required.
A security clearance is a plus, but not required.
Costpoint experience preferred, but not required.
US Citizenship required.
Must complete PGI criminal background check and drug test to be considered for employment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work at a desk using computers and other typical office equipment for extended periods of time up to 8 hours per day.
